Marrakesh 29 January 2019 – The International Federation of Corporate Football (FIFCO) announced today the awarding of the second edition of the FIFCO World Corporate Champions Cup to the country of Morocco.

The successful bid was one of two to be submitted to FIFCO headquarters in Montreal, Canada.  This prestigious tournament will be held in the city of Marrakesh, between 20-22 September 2019.

“This is a great moment for this young organisation, to see the interest spreading worldwide, is a testament to the success of the first tournament,” said Albert ZBILY, president of FIFCO.

The communications company 2Brothers and its CEO Imad MAHASSINE are at the head of this successful bid. “I believe that bringing a tournament of this magnitude to the city of Marrakesh and to my country, is a positive step for the organisation and will bring a lot of interest in developing this series of tournaments in touristic areas,” he said.

FIFCO is the world governing body of corporate football and is celebrating its 10 years of existence. This young organisation is bringing professionalism in football tournament organisation and establishing a name for the sport.  In its short 10 years, FIFCO has amassed 60 country members and over 2.5 million players.

“Imad and his team are strong players in the promotion of their country and of corporate football,” said Mr. ZBILY, “but I believe the true force of having Morocco as a destination is that it will open up a much larger market base, and allow all participants to play the game they love, and have fun visiting a great destination.”

Registration will commence on 1 Feb 2019 and will be open to all FIFCO members. Qualifying events in member countries will commence with earnest, while winners of these qualifiers will attend the 2019 FIFCO World Corporate Champions Cup in Marrakesh.
