Montreal (CA): The International Federation of Corporate Football (FIFCO) announced today the official signing of venue for the 2021 FIFCO World Corporate Champions Cup to be held in October in Dubai.

“We are absolutely delighted to have reached a conclusion on our negotiations with our Dubai-based partners,” said Albert ZBILY, president of FIFCO. “People are anxiously looking forward to a post-pandemic era with a possibility of air travel and physical playing,” he concluded.

The 3rd edition of the World Corporate Champions Cup was postponed in 2020 due to the ongoing world pandemic, and has now been moved to Dubai, which represents the first time in the Middle East.  The two previous editions where in Montreal in 2018 and in Monaco in 2019, respectively.

“This is a great event coming to one of the most cosmopolitan cities of the world,” said Bahi Rifai, president of High 5 Events, official FIFCO partner in the UAE, “I truly believe that companies will not only embrace FIFCO values, but welcome the opportunity to participate.”

The 2021 edition will continue on the same traditions of offering 5v5 format playing with a goal of having a minimum of 15 country represented teams to fly to Dubai and play over a 3-day weekend in October.

The World Corporate Champions Cup is the world’s premier corporate footballing tournament and open to FIFCO member countries.  The event happens every year in a different location so as to give an opportunity for members to meet, play and have fun and discover a new location.
