Casablanca (MA) – During a joint press conference organized by Smart Sport Consulting (SSC) and the International Federation of Corporate Football (FIFCO), both presidents, Albert Zbily of FIFCO and Otmane Benhlima of SSC, detailed the foundation of the 7th edition of the FIFCO World Corporate Champions Cup, scheduled to take place in Fez, Morocco from October 23 to 26.

A comprehensive video and media presentation was provided to the press to illustrate FIFCO’s objectives and the intentions behind hosting this tournament in Morocco. When a journalist inquired about the choice of Fez, both presidents responded simply, “We selected Fez due to its cultural significance in Morocco. We believe that hosting this event will allow us to showcase Morocco’s cultural heritage and provide participants with a captivating football experience,” stated Albert Zbily.

“Our goal has always been to deliver a distinctive experience to the corporate sector and our international guests. Venturing off the conventional path enables us to highlight the diverse offerings of this country, and Fez is one of those hidden treasures that we must promote,” remarked Otmane Benhlima.

FIFCO’s chief official, Steve Brand from England, was also present to share insights regarding the rules of this 5v5 competition. “This is a fast-paced game; corporate players are just like any other footballers – they all strive to win. Our responsibility is to provide them with the appropriate platform to compete fairly among their peers,” explained Steve Brand, a former referee in the English Premier League.

“Organizing a global event of this magnitude presents its challenges,” noted Otmane Benhlima, President of Smart Sport Consulting, the local organizing partner, “but this tournament is a fantastic opportunity to represent our nation, our values, and our openness to the world – we are thrilled to collaborate with FIFCO,” he concluded.

The 7th edition of the World Corporate Champions Cup will include two categories: one for teams aged 25 and over, and another for teams aged 35 and over. This marks the first time the tournament will be held on the African continent.
