Mumbai 24 November 2018. In a quick stopover in Mumbai, president Albert ZBILY of the International Federation of Corporate Football (FIFCO) announced the addition of its newest Asian member, India.
Joining the ranks is the Corporate Masters Cup of Mumbai, headed by Mr. Sandeep Shetty of Turfs’n’Meals a private company set up in India.
“I grew up playing football in a cricket-mad country,” said Sandeep, “but I believe football will be the future of this country, and if we can change the mind-set of the working people, we will be on to something great!”
Mr. Shetty works with his team to develop corporate tournaments in various cities across the country, namely Mumbai, Bengaluru, Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai and many others.
“India is a large country with a very strong work ethic. Companies also realize the importance of keeping their employees fit both in and out of the office. Corporate football in India has the capacity of surpassing all our expectations,” said Albert ZBILY.
FIFCO is the world governing body of corporate football and is located in 60 countries with over 2.5million players. FIFCO promotes its core values around the world and the annual World Corporate Champions Cup.
