Montreal (CA): Two important appointments made today at the International Federation of Corporate Football (FIFCO), the world governing body of corporate football.  The president Albert Zbily announced the appointment of José-Manuel Bassat to the board of governors and Ioannis Kamariaris as the new Vice-President of Finance of the corporate footballing federation.

“These are two very important appointments for us, as it will allow us to better focus our efforts to keep expanding and to make sure we can deliver our programming to our members,” said Albert Zbily at the time of the two appointments.

José-Manuel Bassat is a 20-year communication veteran in a major multilateral organisation. A fluent speaker in 6 languages, José-Manuel has extensive experience in advising governments on the use of communications to build consensus and public support on various government policies. A long-time and die-hard Barcelona fan, José-Manuel will help FIFCO reach new levels in various parts of the world. “FIFCO provides a fantastic opportunity to build on the game that brings so many people together,” he said of his appointment.

Ioannis (John) Kamariaris, holds a Master of Science in Banking and Finance from Loughborough University in London, UK and has spent an extensive time in investment banking and risk analysis in London, Montreal and in Athens, Greece. Ioannis brings a wealth of experience in treasury and a thorough understanding of international finance and strategy.  The addition of Ioannis will strengthen the executive committee of FIFCO. “As a former player and an active referee, this is the best way for me to mix my passion for this game and my knowledge of finance, the future looks good,” he stated after his appointment.

FIFCO is the world governing body of corporate football and was founded in 2009 with its headquarters in Montreal, Canada.  FIFCO is located in over 60 countries and manages 2.7 million players and works with over 100,000 companies worldwide.
